ROBERTO COIN: CONCEPT TO CREATION

I recently had the pleasure of traveling to Mexico for the Roberto Coin Brand Ambassador training.

The setting was beautiful and relaxing—Roberto Coin spared no expense in making us all feel welcome. We stayed at the Grand Velas in Playa Del Carmen, a luxurious, all-inclusive resort surrounded by white sand beaches. Since September is hurricane season on the Caribbean coast, the venue was virtually empty—with the exception of the 50 other brand ambassadors for Roberto Coin and a wild spider monkey that made his way into the resort.

While there, we learned how Roberto Coin’s designs go from concept to creation, as well as how marketing plays a role in it all. It was also announced that the model Arizona Muse is the new face of the Roberto Coin brand.

Roberto Coin’s Tanaquilla Collection was named for Tanaquil—an Etruscan Queen of Rome. It is said that the queen was the first to wear jewelry for the sake of fashion alone. The collection features yellow and brown diamonds, as well as Danburite, set in 18K yellow gold.

Roberto Coin’s Black Jade Collection features black jade, green agate, mother of pearl and diamond. The clean and modern design evokes an instantly modern look that is sure to make any plain outfit pop.

The Barocco five-row diamond bracelet comes in 18K yellow, white and rose gold.
