Behind the Scenes | The TIVOL Marketing Team
The Marketing Department at TIVOL may be small, but they are mighty. The team wears a variety of hats from website maintenance, photography, social media and ad strategy. Each component of marketing is an essential piece of our overall picture. The Marketing team works hard to provide new and exciting content, whether it is in our annual Fall Magazine or in our daily Instagram posts. It can be a challenge to maintain a steady flow of new creative ideas, but they all take time to find new inspiration and collaborate regularly with our jewelry buyer and sales teams.
The Marketing Department has always acted as a mini ad agency within TIVOL. We are lucky to have such a driven and creative group of individuals who genuinely love what they do. It shows in their team-centric attitude and in the ways they collaborate with our designers and watch brands.
Lauren Ditty - Marketing Department Manager
While I have only been with TIVOL for 2 years, it feels like I have worked here forever. The staff here are so welcoming; I instantly felt "at home" as soon as I joined the team. I've known about TIVOL for many years, and learned more about the company's culture when I became involved with Cristo Rey Kansas City, a local high school that provides corporate internships students who might not normally have that opportunity. I knew Cristo Rey had several students working at TIVOL, and I admired the company for supporting the youth in their community.
After working for several years working in the fast-paced industry of wedding and events, I noticed one day in an off-chance email that TIVOL was looking to add to their Marketing Team. My interest was piqued, and I immediately looked into the opportunity! Fast forward to now, and I am so glad I jumped at the chance to join this incredible organization. It is wonderful to head up a team that is so collaborative and constantly pushing the boundaries of our creativity! We are regularly working on big projects like the Spring Mailer or Fall Magazine, while simultaneously maintaining our daily duties. Before the coronavirus, TIVOL hosted several events each year. Because of my background in event planning, I love helping bring TIVOL's events to life! It has been a new challenge to create exciting branded events for our customers. I also enjoy working with our watch and jewelry reps to align their strategies with our own. With so many brands being carried at TIVOL, there is always a new collaboration or project to tackle. I love the variety. One of my favorite things is when Ward, our buyer, stops in and says, "Want to see something new and pretty?". To which, my answer is always, "YES!"
When I am not at TIVOL, I love being outside. Some of my favorite things are hiking, playing tennis, fishing and taking my two rescue pups on long walks. My husband and I lived away from Kansas City for many years. Since we have moved back, we've taken every opportunity to re-discover our hometown. We love trying new restaurants and checking out the parks around the metro. It is nice to see Kansas City growing and changing, all the while, strong family businesses like TIVOL continue to thrive. I'm excited to be a small part of the TIVOL story!
Annie Steinert - Creative Manager
I have been working at TIVOL for almost 4 years. I started working as an intern in the Marketing Department during my last year of college, but began working as the Graphic Designer and Social Media Manager during my final semester. Now, as the Creative Manager I get to tackle our in-house publications like TIVOL magazine and our Spring Mailers. These are my favorite projects to work on and I am always proud to see them go out into the world.
My favorite part of working at TIVOL is the sense of community, we truly are a family. When I got engaged in February they were some of the first people I told… although they knew before I did since my fiancé bought my ring at TIVOL.
When I’m not at work I enjoy painting, exercise, working on projects around our new home, and spending time with my fiancé, family and friends.

I’ve been at TIVOL for four and a half years now - wild! My friend, Jerri O'Hora, was working here at the time, and I heard of an opening for an administrative position from her. I applied for the job, but everything that I explained about myself in the interview did NOT scream administration. One of the things I mentioned about myself was that I do freelance photography. Tirsah, being the wonderful HR lady that she is, knew that it wouldn’t be a good fit for me, so she suggested I send her some photos from my wedding portfolio instead. I honestly didn’t think it would actually happen, so I waited a couple days to send a small portfolio to her. She talked to the marketing manager, and here I am four years later!
I got a second interview and was hired on as the photographer’s assistant, but was promoted to the main photographer shortly thereafter. My managers at TIVOL have always been so accommodating with my schedule. I worked part time for over two years while I finished getting my art degree, and then was hired on full time in January of 2019.
I love so much about being a part of the TIVOL family. I’m so thankful for my coworkers and the marketing team I get to be a part of. We really get to work as a team and all bring our own strengths to the table - not to mention the good laughs we get to have together daily! Over the years, I’ve also gotten to work with some of my closest friends from my church - Jerri O'Hora, Rian Stallbaumer, Myles Cheadle, Lorena Reyes, Jasmin Robinson, Ashley Brown and JJ Holcombe - which has made it just THAT much more special.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband, Blake!! We’re very involved in our church, Midtown Baptist Temple, so a few of our evenings throughout the week are filled with church and Bible studies with some of our favorite people! We also LOVE going on picnics, nature walks, little trips, and working on photo/video projects together. We’ve been married for a little over a year and we’re so excited about where God has us right now, and what He has planned for us in the future!
Tobias Berg - Web Developer
I am the new Web Developer at TIVOL! I am excited to join the team! Part of my job is to enhance the online store by improving the workflow between our inventory systems and our website systems. I am also always looking into new was to optimize the user experience for our website visitors to make it as easy as possible for our customers to learn about the wonderful products we have available so they can find the right pieces for their needs.
Even though I have just started, I have quickly come to love working at TIVOL because of the strong sense of camaraderie I feel with all of the staff here. Everyone works hard, and works together to do everything we can to serve our customers. I also feel proud to be part of a company with such a strong history in Kansas City.
I spent the previous four years working as the web developer for a local real estate company building custom components for their websites, after having gone back to school to earn a certificate in web development. I currently live in Kansas City, Kansas with my wife, 7 month old son, dog and cat.
