At Home with the TIVOL Team - Part 4

The TIVOL team has been coming up with creative ways to pass the time. They juggle working from home, teaching the children, cooking, and loads of home projects.

As the Stay-at-Home orders around the city draw to a close, so does our round-up of the TIVOL team's time at home. It's been nice to have some time at home, but quite frankly, we're all ready to get back to work - doing what we love! We are all looking forward to seeing our friends, family, and our very special clients.

At home with Neb Bachore -

I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.  Since being home, I’ve been cooking a lot more now that I finally have the time for it. I’ve been reviving my aunt's recipes that she made when I was young. My favorite so far has been "bone-in stew" that’s mostly drowned by vegetables and fermented bread.

I’ve also been reading a couple of books by Randall Munroe. One is titled What If, and the other is How to: Absurd Scientific Advice for Common Real-World Problems. The latter is a quirky physics book that was suggested by a classmate when I was in school last year.

I'm regularly contacting some clients and chatting with them regarding Mother’s Day plans. It is right around the corner!

Sometimes, I go for a long hike or jog on Indian Creek Trail, which is quite meditative listening to the sounds of birds and the creek running along the trail. It feels like I'm way outside of the city, although it’s right in the middle. For home workouts, I highly suggest Chris Heria's YouTube channel. That man is a miracle worker. All in all, I’m just trying to stay busy and sane.

At home with Sarah Marquardt -

At home, I just try to stay busy. I am keeping in touch with all my customers, checking in on them regularly! I have also been doing my Patek Philippe training, and checking all my favorite designers' social media to keep up with all the trends!

I won't lie, I have definitely been watching my fair share of Netflix as well. I've really enjoy Ozark and watching old episodes of The Office. My all time favorite is Criminal Minds.

I like to go on a walk every day so I make sure that I am getting plenty of fresh air and exercise. I also FaceTime my fellow sales associates Kate and Kathryn everyday. I miss my TIVOL team!!

I tried a new keto taco casserole that I am OBSESSED with. It makes enough to last for a few days, so that's an added bonus! The recipe is definitely worth a try.

I can't wait to get back to work so I can see all of my co-workers!

At home with Suzie Oberweather -

To keep busy at home, I've been sending thank you notes to our TIVOL customers, and letting them know we appreciate them and we are thinking of them. I know there are many rescheduled life celebrations such as weddings, graduations, and anniversaries. I look forward to seeing all of my clients soon.

I've also started journaling! Our children, grandchildren and generations will read this and be amazed that COVID-19 has had the impact it has on our world. My beginning words are "This sounds just crazy doesn’t it"?

I have walked over 33 miles outdoors since our store temporarily closed, and begun virtual workouts with my personal trainer Derek and our workout group.

I'm still trying to teach my parents how to FaceTime! They are getting the hang of it now, but my mom said to stop calling so early because she’s not “put together yet”. Ha! I simply adore her positivity and adaptability during this time of social distancing.

I do my best to keep in touch with my three grown children and grandchildren. I had a funny conversation with Evie (my "threenager " in Columbia, MO) and her mom (my daughter-in-law):
"Mom, I hurt because of the violin
The violin? You mean the virus?
Ya Mom, the virus"

My daughter Casse is in the picture with me. We are in contact daily, but heed the guidelines set forth by our governor and stay 6 ft apart if we're ever physically together. She is busy at her farm with their menagerie of dogs and kitties.

I find it encouraging that we are all truly in this together! I look forward to when family, friends, our co-workers and neighbors can all come together again!

At home with Swann Vincent -

This quarantine as been pretty hard for me since I am so far from my family in France, but I figured out a good plan that will keep me busy for this time at home.

I’m working out every day, and also keeping in touch with my clients. It has also been nice talking with friends and family in France that I wasn’t able to as much before. Now that everyone is home, we have more time for catching up.

I enjoy cooking, and have been making several shrimp dishes. I even made a dish with cous cous that was fantastic!

I don't normally watch a lot of TV, but these days I find myself catching up on shows like Vikings, Schitt's Creek, Homeland, and WACO.

I look forward to the time we can all be together again. Stay safe, and we will see each other soon!

At home with Tami Noon Mahaney -

Since I have been working from home, I have taken the time to do a lot of cleaning projects that I would normally put off for another day! Cleaning fan blades, chandeliers, and the shutters on my windows was just the start!l My house is definitely the cleanest it has been in quite some time!

It has been nice to cook more homemade meals. I have even tried some new experimental recipes. I love Sour Patch Kids, and I found a great snack without all the added sugar. Take green grapes, cut them in half, squeeze fresh lime juice on them & stir them up.  Then put them in the freezer for a couple hours.  A snack all kids can enjoy!  😊

I hate to say it, but I have been watching more TV as well. I think we all have! If you are a Billy Bob Thornton fan, Goliath will be your new favorite series! I love this 3 season 24 episode drama!  Check it out! Also, if you’re an Ozark fan, the new season is a good one!

What did we do before Zoom came along?!?!  I am so happy to see my family's faces! My family just had a birthday party celebration on Zoom, and I was able to see my granddaughter open her presents. The whole family was able to sing Happy Birthday to her! It was a nice treat!
